Provo PD, Provo Fire, BYU PD, and the medics working the I-15 stretch from Orem to Springville all share a workload that's grown alongside the county's population. The mix here looks different from Salt Lake — more student-population calls, more freeway, fewer night-shift mental-health responses but more daytime acuity than people outside the city expect. Healthcare-wise, Utah Valley Hospital is the regional referral hospital — a high-volume Level II trauma center pulling cases from Wasatch, Juab, and parts of Sanpete.
