Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) in Utah.
You might recognize this
Some of this sounds familiar.
There’s a specific scene that keeps hijacking your head — and you’d rather not narrate it for an hour.
You’ve done years of talk therapy and feel like you understand it without it actually shifting.
You don’t have months for a long course of treatment; you want something targeted.
You’re open to evidence-based methods but allergic to anything that feels mystical.
How I help
The work, unhurried.
A typical ART session: we pick a target memory, you hold it silently while we run eye-movement sets, then we walk through image rescripting and check the body response. You stay in control of the imagery the entire time.
ART tends to be quieter and more directive than EMDR. You don't need to put language on the worst parts — most of the work happens in the image and the body.
For some people, ART resolves a target in one to a few sessions. For complex or stacked trauma, we sequence multiple targets and pace the work to what your system can hold. No guarantees; honest measurement.
If ART isn't the right fit for what you bring in, EMDR or solution-focused work usually is. We'll pick the approach by how your body responds, not by what's trendy.

FAQ
Common questions.
Is ART the same as EMDR?+
They share a family resemblance (both use bilateral eye movements) but the protocols are different. ART uses image-rescripting steps and tends to be more directive and brief. Neither is better; one usually fits the moment better than the other.
Does ART really work in fewer sessions?+
Research and clinical experience suggest many people see meaningful change in 1–5 ART sessions for a given target. That's not a guarantee — complex or layered trauma still takes more time, and we measure progress honestly.
Will I have to describe what happened out loud?+
ART is largely silent — you hold the memory internally while we do the eye-movement sets. You can share as much or as little detail as you want.
Less retelling.
More resolution.
