Path winding through quiet Utah landscape at dusk

Specialty · Healthcare workers

Therapy for healthcare workers in Utah.

You hold a lot of people's worst days. After enough shifts, that does something — to your sleep, your patience, the part of you that used to feel things at work. This isn't a character flaw, and it isn't fixed by another wellness email. It's a load that needs somewhere to go.

You might recognize this

Some of this sounds familiar.

You’re still showing up, still competent — and quietly numbing out between rooms.

Things that should land don’t anymore. A bad outcome, a code, a family losing it in the hallway — you file it and keep moving.

At home you’re shorter than you want to be. The people you came home for are getting the leftovers.

You’ve thought about leaving the field, and you’ve also thought you’d miss it.

How I help

The work, unhurried.

We treat both layers: the burnout and conditions that built it, and the specific shifts and patients that didn't get processed in real time. EMDR and ART do the trauma work; solution-focused sessions handle sleep, anger, and the parts you can actually change.

Moral injury — the distance between what you knew was right and what staffing or policy let you do — gets named for what it is. We don't pretend that wasn't real, and we don't leave you carrying it alone.

Compassion fatigue isn't weakness. It's your nervous system rationing what you have left. We rebuild capacity by treating the trauma underneath, not by adding more self-care to your to-do list.

I work with a lot of clinicians, so you don't have to translate. You can say "he coded and we ran it for 45 minutes" and keep going.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is this burnout or something deeper?+

Both can be true. We sort what's situational (staffing, schedule, leadership) from what's clinical (trauma responses, depression, anxiety) — and treat the part that's clinical without pretending the system isn't part of the problem.

I don't have time for therapy.+

I know. Sessions are 50 minutes, telehealth so you don't lose a commute, and many people start at biweekly. The point is for it to fit the life you have — not add one more thing you fail at.

Will you report me to the licensing board?+

No. Coming to therapy is not a reportable event. The narrow legal limits to confidentiality (imminent safety, abuse of a child or vulnerable adult) are explained at intake.

You've carried this long enough.
Let's start putting some of it down.
