Telehealth therapy anywhere in Utah.
You might recognize this
Some of this sounds familiar.
A rotating shift or long drive makes a regular trip to Midvale difficult.
You want to meet from home but need a realistic plan for privacy and interruptions.
You may prefer a parked car or another quiet location rather than a waiting room.
You want to know whether EMDR or ART can be considered through secure video.
You need a clear backup plan for the rare moment when audio or video drops.
How I help
The work, unhurried.
Telehealth uses the same individual, private therapy relationship with a different meeting place. You and Brian decide together whether video fits the work you want to do.
You must be physically located in Utah during a therapy session because Brian is licensed in Utah only. Within the state, you can meet from the place that gives you enough privacy and a reliable connection. That may be a room at home, a private office, or a parked car where you will not be interrupted. You do not need to live near Midvale to begin.
Privacy is worth planning before the call. Headphones, a closed door, a white-noise source outside the room, and a clear boundary with anyone nearby can help. If home does not feel private, consider another lawful and safe location where you can remain stationary. The free consultation is a good time to ask what setup would make the session workable.
Shift schedules can change. Telehealth removes the commute and may make it easier to protect the appointment around nights, early mornings, or overtime. If you also use the Midvale office, you can discuss switching between in-person and video appointments when availability and the clinical plan allow. The type of session is decided together rather than assumed.
EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy can be delivered through secure video when you and Brian decide the format is appropriate. Preparation includes making sure you understand the process, have privacy, and have ways to return attention to the room around you. There are no promises about effectiveness or speed. The method and pace depend on your goals and what feels manageable.
A connection problem should not leave you guessing. At the start of telehealth care, you and Brian establish a backup plan for a dropped call. That can include reconnecting or using the phone number already provided for the appointment. You also confirm your physical location so the practical plan is clear before deeper work begins.
Telehealth can address PTSD, trauma, complex trauma, relationship strain, and alcohol or drug use through individual counseling. Browse all specialties, review Utah service areas, or read how privacy works for more context.
Sessions are $150 for 50 minutes, paid at the appointment, with an out-of-network superbill available on request. A free 15-minute consultation can help you decide between video and Midvale. If you’re in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.
